Does anyone know the last name Mackeil to be native american?

Please answer truthfully it's really important. And what is the origin of the first name Feaforth.

Does anyone know the last name Mackeil to be native american?
No. I am sorry I have not. Where I grew up, there were many native americans including my father whose last name is Blizzard, a good friend of mine last name was Oxendine. Both are enviromental names but of different origins. It also depends on the tribe...
Reply:I try to look that name up, but I could not found the origin to that name.

~Sorry~
Reply:Native Americans have all kinds of last names just like African Americans, polish, etc... in America it is hard to tell from a last name.
Reply:Mackeil is probably very Scottish.

Feaforth is a mystery. It must be rare, Google only found three things, and one is this question. The only clue perhaps is that one of the results that has it as a name looks like it's in French, a document from the 1920s.

Using Google's translation option, from that page: "Feaforth D. MacNab, superintendent of laboratory of experimentation, the city of Montreal;" So that then points to Canada.

Now, the French did have strong influence in certain areas. Because of that, for example, certain tribes/Nations do have some French sounding surnames that were picked up some way or another, etc. While it's just speculation, in my opinion any possible clues are worth looking into in genealogy.
