That would be so nice ...thank you in advance .
Can you name me the Native American Dog Breeds ?
Native American/ Indian dog. Some consider the Carolina dog. The American Dingo. The Indian's Dog. Southern Aboriginal Dog
Reply:Um, do you mean, the dogs that lived with the Native Americans? Most of those breeds died out with the coming of the Europeans. The "huskies" come to mind, but Russia has those breeds too. There is one kind of dog, living in the Carolinas, that is supposed to be a "Native" dog, but there are very few of them, unfortunatly. If you are talking about American dogs in general--whew. Lots of kinds of dogs, there!
Reply:The Alaskan Malamute is the only one I can think of. The Siberian Husky is commonly thought of as one but was in fact originated by the Chukchi people of northeastern Asia. The American Eskimo dog actually comes from Norway and was origionally the American Spitz. Most breeds originated in Europe or Asia and a few from Africa and honestly I couldn't find a single pure bred breed from the US aside from the Malamute. People throw out the Carolina dog which isn't considered a pure bred and then the Pit Bull which also is not a pure bred.
Reply:Did you mean Boston Terrier, American Pit Bull? Or did you mean the dogs the Natives had? I wouldn't think you could call their dogs a breed, other that American Indian Dog and I'm not sure if thats the correct name.
