they want too go to collage thier dad is in prison and i have not got a clue on how to or if they are able i know thier dad had some papers 20 years ago about land the res leased out he told me they are chippiwa sioux and cree i would like to see them go to collage without stuggle they both have work 2 years strait already it would be nice if they could gotoschool like the wealthy with out all the extra stresss peace and thanks

While knowing your children's father is Chippewa, Sioux and Cree is a good start, you need to find out where he is enrolled. Once that information is learned, you'll need to contact that tribe directly and find out what the enrollment requirements are and if your children meet them. Talk to someone in the enrollment department, tell them your children's father's name. Tribes are groups of extended families and chances are high that the enrollment people may recognize the family name if they are, in fact, of that tribe. Assuming your children qualify for tribal enrollment, the process can take as little as a few months to up to many years, depending on the tribe. Once your children become enrolled, they would become eligible for tribal funding for higher education if any exists for that tribe. Some tribes give no money for higher ed, others give a little, yet others give a lot. Again, it all depends on the tribe. Other funding sources reserved for American Indians come from colleges and universities directly or non-profit organizations such as Daughters of the American Revolution. These scholarships require proof of tribal enrollment in order for students to be eligible to apply. At that point, funding is not guaranteed it just opens the application door and it is a regular, competitive scholarship process after that.
