I just bought a 2 y/o QH filly and I want a Native American name. Preferably an actual word from a language, not just a generic tribe name. She is a rich red bay, very smart, and strong, and also sweet. Please give me any ideas or websites that have meanings and pronuciations!
I need a Native American name for my new horse! Help!?
Here are some Dakota words:
Luta means red
Can Wakan Means Sun Dance
Wiconi (we cho ni) means beautiful
Ishta means girl
Tashunke wakan means horse
Tanka means great
tonkala means mouse
Wanagi means ghost
Wanbli means eagle
Yumni means whirlwind
Mita Kola means my friend
Ozuye luta (Oh zoo yea) means red warrior
Tasunke luta (shunka hinsi) means red horse
Ishta luta means red girl
Wiayaa (we hah) woman
I hope some of these help.
You can add Luta on to the end of some of the words as I did on a few to ad red to them. Like Wanbli luta which is Red Eagle
